International aviation is a multifaceted promoter of sustainable development that aims at bringing individuals together. Consequently, it aims at uniting communities and businesses with the goal of supporting both the tourism and trade sectors. It is essential to that safe, reliable, valid, and inexpensive air transport is a crucial component of a broader programme that helps in the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is essential to support the spirit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) especially by all governments at a global scale. Among the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, global aviation has a role to play in fifteen of them. In some, the airline has a small part entirely while in others it is relatively significant.

The United Arab Emirates government wants to make sure that it maintains a sustainable development while preserving the environment, and therefore calling for an equilibrium between the social and economic growth. For this to become a reality, the United Arab Emirates puts much focus in the improvement of the quality of air, preserving water resources, expanding the input of clean energy, and implementation of the green growth plans programme. Similarly, the United Arab Emirates government calls for the improve net of infrastructure including airports, roads, and electricity. In other areas, the government has put more emphasis in the provision of sustainable housing with the aim of improving the lives of the everyday citizens. Over the years, many countries have continually adopted the sustainable development goals as part of their development agenda (Shihab, 2001). These purposes serve to improve the life and well-being of the populations and thus creating a better world. Sustainable development goals are multifaceted, and therefore, they cover all aspects of our lives. To assist in the navigation of the current changing times, and make sure that some parts of the society are not left behind regarding development, the sustainable development goals were put in place. In other words, they help in improving the general well-being of the people and thus creating a better world.

The environment Vision 2030 for the state of Aby Dhabi aims at ensuring there is a sustainable integration among the three pillars of sustainable living. These components are; social vision, economy, and environment. This concept aims at preserving and enhancing the natural heritage of Abu Dhabi whereby there will be the efficient utilization of resources and thus contribute to a better quality of life in general. The environment Vision 2030 of Abu Dhabi majors on specific priority areas namely; change of climate, clean air and noise pollution, water resources, biodiversity, and management of wastes. There are however other sub-priority sectors in this program which are; current value, threshold value, and sustainable value. It was part of the Abu Dhabi urban planning that was developed by Emiri Decree in 2007. The urban planning Council had a role to design and implement a multifaceted initiative to produce a municipal structural framework that would promote the revolution of the city of Abu Dhabi.

In other words, the Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 was as conceptual framework entailing all ideas, directions, and themes that would explore a rigorous process of planning and review. The major courses in the programme were unique environment, sustainable, an evolving culture, identity and prospect, brilliance and liveability, and connectivity (AlFarra, 2012). By improving air transport in Abu Dhabi, it will push towards the achievement of the sustainable development goals. Lack of an efficient and fast mobility results to derailed development all across the world. The transport sector enables trade and urban connections that have an essential role to play in the modern society. It is therefore vital to note that transport is a significant component in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. There is, however, no stand-alone development goals relating to traffic but it in one way or another helps in the accomplishment of the same.

The goal of the aviation industry is aligned with the aims of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. According to Dhabi (2005), international air transport plays at least some role in supporting fifteen out of the seventeen sustainable development goals. Through the promotion of improved connections between states, aviation is among the key drivers of both social and economic development. Consequently, air has one of the most precise and wide-ranging climate action plans of any international industry that in one way or another contributes to the environmental-based sustainable development goals. As a sector, aviation helps in many ways in the development of the SDGs. Looking at the urban planning of Abu Dhabi, it entails improvement of the aviation sector mainly with the aim of achieving the SDGs. This move will increase international developmental funding and also climate funding for sustainable transport. Similarly, it will promote sustainable technologies in the transport industry by initiating outcome-oriented state investments and strategies that encourage private sector investments and relevant actions through various formal structures. In conclusion, it is clear that improving the aviation sector in Abu Dhabi will yield significant results especially in concern with the Sustainable Development Goals. Not only will it improve the environment through strategic management of air pollution, but also connect many countries with mutual economic relations.
