Writing is a living breathing thing. Writers will argue that a piece of writing is constantly changing, it is never complete. As a writer, I always find something in my writing that I want to change, even after it is out in the world. So I presume it would make more sense to say that writers are constantly changing and evolving not just as people but in their craft.

I began writing after I graduated from college. Living in a country where employment of young people is often minimal I had to look for other ways to make some money. And that is when I thought of writing. So what was my evolution? It was learning what my niche was; what writing style and structure I felt passionate about, and what I could write well. Now as a twenty-four-year-old I think have had a few good and bad experiences as a writer, some good experiences include I have been able to pay my bills with the money from writing and learn from some of the works I have done. The bad experience is when my work is rejected by my clients, and I have to do it over again. One thing I fancy about writing is when my clients are happy about my work; this gives me extra confidence and motivation in my job. In my line of work perfection and professionalism is the order of the day. Just like reading, writing is a process, not a product, and it is a process of constant refinement and revision. You have to be fast, accurate, descriptive and most importantly you have to hone your creativity skills.

With high levels of unemployment rates nowadays and millions of people desperately looking for jobs, people need to discover the existing skill gaps and efficiently make use of them. In an ever-changing economy, there are always some positions unfilled while some workers are unemployed. The clearest path to developing critical thinking may pass through writing skills. There are billions of jobs out there on the internet involving written communication like short reflective essays, analytical readings, reflective journaling, discussion board dialogue and much more waiting for people to work on them. Writers and those who aspire to be writers must always be ready to make use of these opportunities to change their lives.

Writing is not easy it takes some time to develop. Even that writer who is talented or gifted has weaknesses and strengths. It is a craft that needs time to develop and perfect. Writers usually make grammatical errors since they type, write, and think too fast to the point where they dont catch their mistakes. The other weakest portion of many writers is the lack of good proofreading; all papers require a lot of proofreading not only for grammatical errors but also structural difficulties. Writers should be very detailed in their writing and straight to the point. They should ensure that their sentence structure and punctuation are excellent and avoid problems with the run on sentences.

In general, the art of writing is a difficult and complex process. Proper writing needs a careful revision, planning, and proofreading. Throughout the past three years, the quality of my writing has evolved significantly. At first, I found writing a laborious process but as time pass by I realized the enjoyment behind the writing. To be a better writer, I will have to constantly practice on my writing skills so that I eliminate my original difficulties and inspire confidence in my skills.
