Why Soccer Is the Most Important Activity for Me?

Everyone has their most important activity; mine is sports, and my favorite game is soccer. It is a fascinating game. To me, football is not only just a sport, but it is also the backbone of my social life. Most people would say that life is like a bowl of cherries, and the candy lovers would say life is like a box of white chocolate. Both of these statements might be true but not as true as what I like to say that life is like a big game of soccer; every day is like a new game, every week is like a new league and every year begins as a new season. The only different thing in this soccer, game is that it never ends. In a football match, there are penalties for foul plays just like there are consequences for every action and decision you make in life.

People all over the world enjoy watching and participating in sporting events. Franklin Roosevelt, once the president of the United States of America once said: Sports is the very backbone for what we all stand for. It doesnt matter if you are a player or a fan, soccer is one of the worlds most popular sports throughout the years, football has become a significant part of my life, and I have developed affection for the game. Without question, soccer is the most popular sport in the whole world. It is enjoyed globally by people from all walks of life and is loved by people of all ages. It is a game that the whole family can enjoy. I love it because it promotes peace, love, and friendship. Through soccer, I get to spend most of my free time with friends and teammates.

I can relate many aspects of football and sports in general to live. Soccer is the best sport I have ever played or been a fan of it. It requires tremendous expanses of teamwork and sportsmanship to be successful. No single player can win a soccer game by himself. He may be a great player or goalkeeper, but he would still need to pass the ball to and work with the other ten players. A soccer player cannot be selfish and put himself before his whole team. Just like in life, football needs teamwork and effort.

Soccer is a fascinating game. Millions of people all over the world attend games in stadiums while others watch on their televisions. As much as it is an easy sport to learn and play, it is also very unpredictable game because there exist many factors that can affect the outcome of a match. It involves a round shaped ball and twenty-two players; eleven players from each side get involved. At first, it might seem hard and perplexing, but when you take an interest in it, it becomes quite simple. It has several rules involved, but with time you get to understand them. The fans can predict the talent and physical strength of the teams but not the players dedication or mental strength.

Legendary Notre Dame Football club manager, Knute Rockne once got quoted saying, a single man actively working on sportsmanship will be significantly superior to a hundred people giving instructions about it. I can say that a game of soccer is the total summation of all contributions of a group of people in a designated area all with a common goal of winning. There are several merits to this sport, and one of them is that soccer is educating. Over the years, I have acquired much information regarding football. I used to be an introvert and very shy, but through football, I learned how to socialize and make friends. Am currently a member of the local soccer team, and I have made a lot of friends through it. I have also been able to visit several new places through football. Soccer has enabled my team members, and I travel to different locations for tournaments and leagues. Another thing I love about football is the social aspect. It is fun and brings people together. Fans from various countries all over the world meet to support their favorite teams during the world cup and other tournaments. There are several instances where soccer has been used for different causes, for example promoting peace and creating awareness against drugs, violence or other vices in the society.
