Civil Engineering and Research Associates was created in 2007 with the aim of becoming a consulting firm in civil construction in Sydney. The vision of the company has been offering integrated design, planning, and consulting services. CERA targets both the medium and large infrastructure projects. The company also provides timely planning, high quality, civil, and structural engineering solutions and advice to the clients.

She is the head of civil engineering division at CERA. She is also responsible for developing the engineering solutions to both commercial and residential clients. Her team does a lot of consultation with the clients. Working as a team is one of the principles that the company employs in deciding the employee development that should be funded by CERA. Some of the principles employed by CERA in determining the employee development it funds include acting with care, competence, and integrity to ensure that the employees get the development services they need. The other principle required by CERA is that the employees should meet some of the requirements needed by the Institute. Training is another principle that CERA uses when deciding whether CERA should fund an employee development or not. Through the training principle, one gains knowledge concerning the issue of funding employee development.

Assessment is the other principles that CERA should apply when deciding if employee development is funded by CERA. Assessment is necessary as it will know that which of the projects can be funded by CERA and the ones that cannot be supported by CERA. Formal education is also significant in deciding whether CERA should fund an employee's development or not. The knowledge gained in formal education is essential in making decisions concerning the projects that should be financed by CERA.

Should CERA do away with workplace celebrations because of the risks that CERA is carrying? (Why or why not?)Incorporating a little fun or celebration in the workplace does not mean employees will not perform their duties sincerely. It is just a way of releasing boredom to motivate them to perform better. Celebrations make the employees happy, it release stress, and it encourages unity, which reduces tensions among them. Thus, the celebration is a way of promoting teamwork as many employees come together and celebrate as they share their ideas. Though CERA carries out many risks that demand a lot of finances, celebrations should be part of these risks. The underlying reason for the depicted is to allow the agency gain better performance from its employees. It also ensures tolerance within the workplace since employees can accommodate each other's strength and weaknesses. This strategy raises employee's self-esteem and finally encourages loyalty at the workplace thus ensuring productivity.

Though there are positive impacts of celebrations at the workplace, there is some negativity associated with the same. First, it promotes unnecessary spending which may result in losses in the organization. Therefore, for CERA to ensure that these negative implications are realized it must enhance sound and stable policies guarding such celebrations is put in place, and civic education is carried out among the employees about the same. Ensures security issues are addressed adequately to curb the instances of non-safety practices that employees may engage in during the celebrations. Celebrations will also help in keeping the skills of the employees up. The reason is that celebration is a show that the company is recognizing the hard work that staff plays in the firm.
