Environmental sustainability has become a critical issue in the global trends; there have been a lot of changes that have caused harm to the environment. One of the most serious yet inevitable factors that have caused environmental pollution is industrialization; the emission of carbon and sulfur gases into the atmosphere causes a considerable environmental degradation. Effluents have been released into the environments contributes to an imbalance in the natural system and death of plants and animals.

In the United States, there has been release of lead wastes in to the rivers around Colorado and kayak which causes harm to living organism in the rivers and to the people who live around. Around the world, oil spills are common in the sea. The oil covers the sea since it less dense than water therefore unbalancing the oxygen supplier in the ocean. Oil spill have led to the death of a large number of aquatic life.

Many countries in the world have come up with solutions for regenerative energy also known as the green energy, to reduce the number of toxins released into the environment. A regenerative economy focuses on the on the recycling and reuse of certain products and by products that might be harmful to the environment. There have been policies to recycle plastics and metals cans. Other than that, countries have adopted measures to limit industrial plants to a particular maximum of carbon emission, and they charge hefty fines for industries fines for the industries that surpass the required threshold.

All the measures that have been taken are in the best for environmental conservation. With the adoption of the policies, it is noted that there had been a sufficient reduction of environmental pollution. On the other side, it is clear that most developed countries and the industrial giants are not committed to environmental sustainability. They have continued to take advantage of their veto power. The economic giants have still emitted a larger percentage of waste gas and liquids at the expense of the small economies. This is very unfair to the small economies; global warming affects the whole world even those which are not highly industrialized.

Current lifestyle diseases are among the leading killers, some of them are caused by environmental degradation. Cancer kills millions of people and if the environment was in its natural state the number of cancer cases will reduce. It is very sad to lose lives, some needs to be done about this. Every one of us must ensure that we protect the environment. It is important for our future generation to have the same experiences as we do. A regenerative economy will make sure that most of our natural resources will not be depleted as fast as they are being used.
