Academy Health Center is a Family school-based health Center is located in Queen Streets in the State of Worcester. The vision of the health care facility is "provision of affordable health services to the students and the residents of Worcester." The mission statement of the Family Heath Center state that, Family Health Center of Worcester is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all residents in the Great Worcester area, especially culturally diverse populations, by providing access affordable, high quality, integrated, comprehensive, and respectful primary health care and social services, regardless of patients ability to pay'.

Patients demographic

The majority of patients who visit the Health Center mainly rise from an urban and semi-urban population around the State of Worcester. The location of the patients is seasonal, and it provides services majorly for disadvantaged people. The governance structure of the health center is headed by a president or CEO who has his/her Vice Presidents. Key Health Services and Programs Offered

The essential health services provided by the health center include dental services, behavioral health services, breast health services, vision services, health counseling and maternal and child health services. These services encompass the needs of the patients who visit the hospital. It also offers Tyan White HIV/AIDS program which focus on HIV-related services in U.S.A.

Affiliation and US Federal Tax System

The Health Center has an affiliation with United Way. According to U.S federal tax status, the Family Health Center of Worcester is a non-profit organization whose prime purpose is to ensure quality health within the State.

Source of funds

The health centre mainly relies on funds from grants to fund its various projects. Moreover, support from the local community which is useful in providing support for the poor in the locality, those without insurance covers and those who are underinsured. Donations to support these families are also accepted. The annual financial report indicates that the health center operates at the expense of up to $25 million (www.guidestar.org).

The health need that needs that are expressed by the community surrounding the hospital includes HIV/AIDS management and control skills, nutritional program services and child and maternal health services.
