The poem I am the only one here is a love poem with the first person as the persona. They are basically explaining the audacity their have at their place, the good peace, and freedom which they are not ready to surrender. They describe all the activities they carry out in their place and how they cannot break from their home no matter the circumstances. The author uses the style of personification to show emphasis concerning the persona. The first person representation emphasizes that the persona is the only one in that particular area and is not ready to allow anyone to join them wherever they are. The author depicts the styles and the themes well stressing the whole matter of love throughout the whole story. The author also describes the persona to be strict and commanding.

The author portrays imagery in the poem. This is evident where the persona compares people to be named after little plants. Generally, the central theme of the poem is the idea of love. It runs down through the whole story line. The persona explains how they are the only one in their place and how they are not ready to allow anyone to intervene them. They are also not willing to let go. The theme of worship is also portrayed in the poem. The persona explains the incident of God talking to them. The author also uses personification to account for the concept of the burning bush, arguing that the persona is the one being spoken to and holding the Promised Land. In general, the author portrays both the theme of love and worship simultaneously in the whole story line. They generally bring out special love and concern through the persona in the poem. The author uses of personification to portray the Biblical story of the burning bush where the persona is seen God talking to them, and the issue of the burning bush and holding the Promised Land.

In the other poem Miz Rosa Rides The Bus, the author portrays a first person persona who is a lady. The poem depicts two incidences at the same time, where the persona has expectations of enjoying the December holiday, sitting with Miss Muffet of Montgomery, and at the same time in a ride. The surprise comes out when the December turns into a disaster, a situation she wasnt aware of and prepared for. At some point, she has hauled away. The author still portrays irony in the poem. The persona expects to find luxury and much better during that December, but things turn to be even worse. At the end, she quotes that the dead December, depicting that she wasnt interested anymore with anything to do with the December, and that it had turned to unexpected. She even goes ahead to fasting, praying and rides away while others are eating and getting satisfied.

The author depicts irony clearly in the poem to manifest that anything can happen on any great occasion and well-expected occasion centrally to what was expected and hence changing the whole expectations. Moreover, the author develops their storyline by showing how the persona experienced a lot of unexpected misery during the December session. It is also evident that the author portrays also is seen to represent two incidences simultaneously, where the persona is attending a December holiday and at the same time in a riding journey. In general, the whole text describes irony, where the unexpected is taking control of the entire scene. The persona expects a celebration, of which it all turns to his harassment.

The persona is seen been hauled, which they never expected to happen. It is also evident that the author portrays the story into two perspectives, where one, there is the attendance of the December, and on the other hand, the ride. Both poems clearly show main themes very well illustrated throughout the storyline where personification, imagery, and irony take the whole story.
