International organizations stand for the membership groups that operate across national borders for particular reasons. The idea of these institutions reflects the cooperative arrangement and agreement instituted amongst different nations to perform various mutually agreed advantageous functions implemented through periodic meetings and staff activities. It is worth mentioning that international organizations play a significant role in global politics. In essence, the importance of international organizations has increased in the present interconnected and interdependent world. For this reason, it has forced the modern nations to search the areas of mutual advantage such as economic development, trade, world peace, and communication. The states during these interactions learn how to promote a common welfare in order to lessen conflict and solve the common problems that are not limited to national boundary. The organizations also bring different nations with a common interest together to discuss common issues and evolve solutions for contemporary problems (Archer, 2014). The United Nations, for example, is an organization that brings together different nations to confront common challenges, manage shared responsibilities exercise collective action in an enduring quest for a peaceful, inclusive, and sustainably developing world.

The information could be useful in the smooth running of the states involved. For instance, the world health organization collects information about different health issues affecting different nations, studies it and then passes it to the countries. The information is used to understand various health issues and appropriate precaution required to manage different health issues. Moreover, they set up laws that are internationally accepted and relevant to all the member states in regard to different health matters.
The organizations also create friendly relations among member nations. These relationships help them to work in togetherness to achieve different goals. The states relate based on respect for the principle of equal right and self-determination. It is worth mentioning that through these created relationships, the nations are able to solve international cultural, economic, social, and humanitarian problems through global cooperation (Fierke & Jorgensen, 2015). The United Nations address most of the problems by fostering respect amongst the nations by promoting human rights and serving as the center where the different countries can coordinate their actions and activities towards their various set goals.
Additionally, the national associations play a significant role in collecting statistical information, analyzing different trends in the variables. They then make a comparative study and circulate the relevant information to all other nations. The United Nations, for instance, performs supervisory function where they analyze different trends in various areas such as business and then share them with the member states. They use the findings to improve trade amongst themselves.
Lastly, the international organizations are significant when it comes to setting up multilateral or bilateral agreements between nations. In essence, different countries in an organization can work together easily and effectively to improve their status. They can easily agree on different matters under the umbrella of the organization that has brought them together. As a result, they can work in partnership to improve their economies (Archer, 2014). For example, countries under the United Nations can trade amongst each other. They can also buy and sell goods and services to each other guided by the respect and principles put in place by the organization.
